I might need a replacement gearbox for my A3 but before I try and source one I just wondered if any can help me confirm if that's definitely the issue?
When I push the clutch pedal down, no issues. As soon as I engage the clutch I get a knocking noise. Sounds like a pilot/spigot bearing is gone. Mechanic is telling me the car doesn't have one but I have purchased a febi bilstein one for my car. He didn't sound too sure and said he called Audi who told him it didn't have one.
Does anyone know if my car has one of these needle bearings or not? It's a 2004 A3 3.2 v6 Quattro 8P1
