A3 1.4 tfsi buying advice.

All,

I'm off to view an A3 1.4 tfsi S tronic tomorow night, I've read various threads about the 1.4 engine but wanted some current advice. It's a sport model with the 7 speed dsg *s tronic. What would you all be looking for?

That dry dsg is pants go with manual and save yourself stress and potencial problems. 1.4 is a nice engine and fairly reliable especially compering to vw pd/cr diesels.

I have a 1.4 TFSI and its a 6 speed manual. Had no problems with the engine of the gearbox so far(touch wood). The engines are more powerful than you think.

I have had my turbo hybridized and then remapped and im currently running 165bhp rather than the standard 125bhp. Going to run a fmic in a couple of months and go for stage 2 map wich will take me to around 200bhp hopefully.

I drove the S-Tronic and it doesnt feel as good as the manual in my opinion.
