This is what had gone wrong with my clutch. It was in the line behind the air box if your looking at the car from the front. Any ideas what it is? what it does? Cheers in advance.

Anyone any ideas????

thats your flow control valve its there to keep the slave cylinder at the correct pressure so to stop clutch slip. you cant bypass it other wise you might end up having gear engagement issues as you wontbe able to disengage the clutch properly and if you do get it into gear its likely to slip alot. your best to see if theres any part numbers on it then order a new one,
should be alot cheaper than removing the gearbox to do the slave,

cheer mate your a star. now i know what it does i'll order a new one and get it banged straight on. only thing is i have no part number.

I cant see it on there prob just me being stupid.lol. I'm gonna have to take it to audi tomorrow and see if they know what it is.
