Engine or gearbox out for clutch change

Hi Gents,

I need to change clutch on my 2009 TDI Quattro sportback.

What is the best option? Engine or gearbox out? I need to do the cam belt and oil pump drive mod also.

no access to a 4 poster but I do have an engine crane and tranny jack

I’d take the gearbox out. Why make extra work for yourself?

I'll see if I can get my old copy of elsawin up and running. Does subframe need to come off do you know?
