You gotta remember the 45 comes shod with Michelin tyres though too ... you'll never get those factory fit on an Audi
All helps with that 0 to 62 mph sprint
Did your wife's 35 come with Michelin pilot sport 4s fitted as standard too ?
Merc certainly didn't penny pinch with the AMG cars

I keep trawling the net every other day looking for more spy shots or intel on the new RS3, everything I have so far was posted in the other thread, it’s been a bit quiet for a while. I was hoping for end of 2020 release but as time goes on and you Northern Hemisphere peeps enter winter/ Covid 2.0, that’s looking less likely. So I’m not likely to see one down here in Oz until 2022 I assume. They have only just relaunched the current gen RS3 after being removed from sale last year due to WLTP issues.

I do like the look myself of the A45 and have considered it, just waiting to see if the new RS3 is convincing enough

However, carwow doesn't help.. MW is impressed... yet simultaneously unimpressed with his new DD, from what I can gather

Be daft though as a rs4 starts at £65k
Or a 50-52k basic pauper spec 415bhp
To 60k with some toys
Either way I’m in it for 58-62 k one depending on it’s looks and looks £20 k better than an s3

I think pricing will be similar to current model. Perhaps 10% more. There should be a vorsprung option also. I don’t see it being more than 60k fully loaded. Pricing will be along the same lines as the RSQ3 but 2k less across each version is my guess.

3.65 sec to 60 mph on cold tyres & wet road is very impressive.

the cars are very engaging to drive and handling is superb.

it is just the exhaust note which lets it down.

Seats, cabin, dash, tech, looks etc all superb.

If the new RS3 has better suspension than the old car & retains a degree of the 5 cylinder engine note I will consider another in a few years though.

Yep i have a CLA45S PLUS AMG on order reduced from £58k to £53k with expected delivery April 2021. For the tech, handling, performance and practicality on offer theres nothing that competes!. I'm not sure i would pay an extra £5k for the Audi RS3 Saloon when there will be almost nothing between them

Went and had a nosey in Audi Solihull
See if they had an s3 for viewing
Nope
But at least I finally got to sit inside an a3 sline
Love the dash layout even the vents
Not so much with the amount of cheap plastic though especially the door cards
Felt ok to sit in
Not much to shout about, my sline A4 felt more premium as I guess it should do
Think I may go rs6

Need to see an S3 to see how much difference there is May give me a feel on how the Rs3 may turn out
I’d be a bit disappointed if it was still cheap feeling from an Sline
Maybe the vorsprung May give a better vision
