Audi of America and Audi Germany said, no INSISTED that it could not be done…. but we DID IT!
At the time of posting, if you are lucky enough to be in the position to be building an Audi R8 V10 Plus on the Audi of America website you will find that Audi Smartphone Interface is not an option. This means that our USA friends cannot take advantage of Apple CarPlay or Andriod Auto integration, something which we in the UK have as standard with all modern Audi vehicles.
The owner of this lovely machine thought that the above was strange and started to investigate and when he approached the USA based dealerships and Audi of America he was told a flat no, its not possible for you to have this feature. He then found VAG Car Coding and after a short discussion, followed by a remote coding session…. VAG Car Coding is proud to preset the FIRST Audi R8 V10 Plus with Audi Smartphone Interface in the USA!
No messing about here, none of this hacking rubbish thats going around at the moment. Only genuine parts and tools were used during the activation and licensing process which saw us host a remote session from London to California. As a result of using genuine tools this licensed activation has been recorded against the vehicles digital records and is 100% warranty safe!
