Hi, just got vcds so not fully up to date with how it works but not complete novice on dignostic equipment. I have access to 2 different diagnostic computers my mate owns. Delphi and dec scan. Both wont access my ecu! So thought id try vcds. I can manage to read and clear fault codes. But when it gets to live data it seems a little bare there only seems to be few basics available. And trying to access certain parts it wont communicate is this normal on BKN or is my ecu got a problem/partly locked?

No its cheap 1 off ebay as didnt want to pay full price for something that still wasnt going to help me with my car. Is it definitely to do with cable as strange that 3 different types of diagnostics computers wont read live data. The 2 that arent vcds will work fine on his audi a6 3.0 tdi on same year.
Not sure then mate. One of the lads at work had a cheap one that didn't work. I plugged my gen one in and it did.
