Should've let me know you were planning on fitting it as I traded the car in with the button present, only reason I didn't take it out was that I lost the original!

Did you have the ABS coding error after your install?

I have read that this either happens when the button is not wired or changed were made to module 44 Steering Assist bit 0 and bit 4

Even before I fitted the button there was no error. 2015 A4.

Hi I'm new to the forum. Can anyone help me. I am technical and work in electronics (mainly security systems) but I bought an Audi A4 Avant B8 f/lift with a stolen MMI stereo along with the gear surround and screen. I am not bothered about any of that as I will install an Ebay android system . The only thing I do want is to have the Auto start / stop function.... oh and I forgot to mention, all of the heads have been cut off the loom too. I have stripped back the cables. All I need to know if anyone is able to tell me, which cores enable / disable this feature?

Or am I wasting my time if this needs to be programmed in to the MMI?... which I currently do not have
