Hi, My A4 1.8T Sport needs a 60k service along with a cambelt change and the tempreture guage sorting. Does anyone know of an Audi specialist in the Staffordshire area? I know there was one in Lichfield but I cannot track them down.
I would do a comparisment against the local Audi garage and the specialist first, I got mine done at a specialist and I don't think it was all that cheaper...
What you need is to find an 'authorised audi repairer' (eg Ingram audi in Ayr) who carry the audi name but who are not part of the full audi ensemble if you can. I got my 60k service £55 cheaper than my local audi dealer. Fitting new timebelt was £50 cheaper also. I had to travel 50 miles, but I made sure I got a courtesy car. I then drove to the beach in Ayr and spent most of the day there and sightseeing too!!!!
A local specialist quoted me the before vat price to entice me but later had to give me the full price upon booking, which I then turned down - only £15 cheaper than dealer.
