Hey troops.
Thought I'd stick this thread up after a long sesh on the car today.
Tried a few new products and thought some might be interested.
Apologies in advance if the post is a bit of a shambles, my detailing is better than my I.T skills.
First a quick rinse.

Then my first shot of Bilt Hambers Korrosol.
Works just the same as IronX, just doesn't stink quite as much(still pretty pongy though)
Sprayed over whole car, took about a third off the litre bottle, left for about 5 mins.

As you can see it reacts pretty well, rinsed off with pressure washer, smell lingered for a while. Lol.

Then it was onto the snow foam, I was using Bilt Hamber Auto foam, with a ratio of 1:9. 100ml foam 900 water.
It goes on really easy, not as foamy as I'm used to, but that might be my ratio.
I find the super foamy ones don't always take the crap off.

Quick rinse again, then fire some Korrosol onto the rims.

You can really see it going to work on the rims, yuck!! Them's some skanky rims.
All i did after that was rinse it off, super easy.

Then it was the good ol' two bucket wash, using Mer Auto shampoo and lambswool mitt.
Once that's done it's drying time.
For this I use the CB Wooly Mammoth drying towel and a Meguiars water waffle,
I find the combo off these two leave a lovely smear free dry car.

Then it's polish time, for this I was using a Dodo Juice Buff Daddy DA with Auto Finesse 3 stages polish.
I'll save you the time looking at all them and just stick one up, polish on, buff off with MF cloth.

Some reflection shots after polishing finished.

Then it's on to the sealant, I was using G techniq C2 V3, first time using this as well.
I'm used to having to work to get sealants off, but according to the instructions it's basically a wipe on, wipe off.
The bottle is 100ml and only 6 quid, absolute bargain, went on and came off like a dream,
I just hope the final product lives up to the reviews, gave the roof and bonnet a second coat, then buffed off.

I think you'll agree it leaves a lush finish.

Final stage with the paintwork is Bilt Hamber Speed wax (I'm not sponsored by BH by the way. Lol.)
Again went on like a dream, big tub as well 250ml came with applicator and MF cloth,
Took my time to make sure I gave it full coverage, again just buffed off.

That's the paintwork finished, now onto the trim.
For this I'm using Auto Glym Bumper trim gel, just be a careful to keep off the paintwork.
It's quite a gritty gel, works a treat though, rub on, wipe off.

You can see the difference, half done half dry.
I also used on the front fog grills, the first pic is before, the second after.

Right, that's the exterior done, quick clean on the inside.
Using Turtle Wax upholstery cleaner foam on the mats.

Quick clean on the dash usning Solvent Brite berry spray. Great long lasting smell.
Then it's all done.
Some final shots.

Well, that's all folks, 5hrs later.
If you've lasted till the end off this post, then kudos.
I do get a bit anal when it comes to detailing.
Hope it helps inspire peeps to get out and get dirty.

Keep cleaning.
Scott.

Did you coat the rims in the GTechniq as well? looking at getting a wheel protection as they are a nightmare to get clean if left a long time..

@Ultra Violent - Impressive work Scott
& a great finish too

Love the write up mate

Great work. It's not often you see an orange S3, but they do look great...especially after a bit of TLC.

Thanks to the ever reliable Scottish weather, managed to get some beading shots.
The sealant and the wax seem to be doing their job.

Great work, Ultra! And, what a colour! Feeling properly inspired to go deal with the filthy thing sitting in my driveway right now! Perversely, I find myself wondering what my A5 would look like in orange...

Spent most of today detailing the car- when I say detailing this is my first attempt, so I'm no expert.

Started with the wheels used Korrosoll on them sprayed off then gave them a good wash and rinsed. Then hit the body work with Korrosoll, left and washed off.

Pretty well pleased by its performance. Then hit the Snow Foam by Carplan. Not the best if I'm honest but all I could lay my hands on at short notice. It did an okay job.

Dried off and a coat of Poorboys wheel sealant.. buffed then dressed the tyres. Really pleased with the results.. shame about the brake disc surface rust (should have given it a spin before taking pics)

Then I hit the body work with GTechniq C2 V3 liquid crystal. This is amazing stuff and so easy to apply..gives an awesome finish..

Glass cleaned and left to admire.. Fraction of the cost that Audi was going to charge..

On close examination there are no swirls on the paintwork even after a request not for them to wash the car but they did!! Two to three small marks on the car but will concentrate on
those next time..

Thanks for your help & advice @Ultra Violent and @Bristle Hound.

The car is way and beyond what I'd thought it would be. I previously had an A3 Sportback 150 STronic and loved it, but this thing is a wild animal!!! MPG is worrying me though and I haven't ragged it yet!!!

Lol. That's how we all started Chivs, cars looking sweet.
Keep up the good work.
As for the mpg, none of us really by a car like that and expect good mileage.
Mpg= More Petrol Geezer.
