Throttle Body on a 1999 1.6 A3

Hi,
I regularly clean out the throttle body on my wifes 1999 1.4 Golf, and when a friend mentioned some problems she was having with her A3 the symptoms where the same as the Golf.

Where in the A3 is the throttle body? I was hoping it was similar to the Golf but apparently not.
