2001 BORA Central locking

Hi All,

My 2001 BORA central locking has developed a problem, when I switch the ignition on all doors lock down as they always have but now the passenger front door is unlocking all other doors remain locked.

I have not had any work done on the car so not sure what is going on, anyone on the forum had this problem and if so what was wrong?

Check that the puddle light is on, sometimes the microswitch developes a pRoblem and the light won't show. This is a common fault on the mk4 golf. If you search mk4 golf central locking won't work you usually find out exactly what it is.

Puddle light is on. The front passenger door locks when ignition is switched on then unlocks itself, main switch on the drivers side will lock it but again it unlocks itself.
