2001 2.5 TDI Quattro Auto

Hi chaps,

I'm usually a regular user of the A4 b5 forum but I'm thinking of getting an A6 as we need more boot space, ****** push chair!!

I've seen a 2001 2.5 TDI Quattro Auto and I'll openly admit I know very little about them and was hoping you guys might be able to offer some guidance/advice on them etc? What to look for? Is the Auto/Tip box any good?

Fuel pump is the achillies heel of this model so make sure its done or leave money in the kitty to rectify the problem , apart from that car iss a huge car with great torque and also specification.

Front upper and lower suspension arms, low speed wobbles and knocks.....damp carpet under the passenger seat...affects alarm, windows and door locks
When were the belts done....
Pump.....search Diesel Bob....budget £650 and £300 for belts, pump and stat worst case...

Get a VCDS / Vag Com scan before passing money....

I have the allroad version and love it. Fuel use can be high but meh, it goes ok too....
