2.0 tdi quattro s-tronic remap?

Hi All,

I've been considering getting a remap mostly for fuel economy and after some online searching have seen mixed reviews and have no idea if there would be any noticeable difference between 4/2wd?
Also seen horror story's regarding the 7 speed s tronic packing in due to upgrades.
I drive mostly mixed roads and average just under 40mpg.

What's the general consensus here on remaps?

I've got a superchips remap, it isn't aggressive which gives me confidence it won't harm the gearbox or clutch

mpg has remained the same since fitting, i get 47mpg average mix of motorway and town driving
