Looking for part number of cigarette lighter blank b7

Most Audi parts departments will sell you a 12 volt replacement. They have ametal knurled edge and look really good - all for about a fiver.

How to treat moss on fabric roof?

This is really useful info thanks. I've just bought a newA3 cabrio and never having owned a convertible before was wondering what to use to keep the roof pristine. The common consensus seems to be Autoglym to restore and reproof and Meguirs for day to day maintenance. Have viwed to drive roof...

Has my old B7 Avant gone to a good home?

Part exed my old car in March for a new S3 - still not sure it was a wise choice though! I was wondering if my car is now with a forum member again? It was a B7 Avant 2.0T S-line SE in Brilliant Red, reg YN** ZBR. If you are the new owner and are at AITP I would love to meet up with you and have...

    BBS CH alloys. PCD query

Hi Guys Your wise consel if I may. I was thinking of changing the car then realised what a good car I have already, the new model A4 just doesn't do it for me. Soo, rather than waste my had earned on a new car I think I'll freshen the old girl up and change my standard S-Line 18" alloys for...

Whirring noise when engaging clutch on 2.0t

Hi I have a 2.0T 220 B7 Avant and have experienced the same noise but, as you say, only under really hard acceleration and mainly when I release the clutch pedal quickly. The car is now nearly 7 years old and has done 60,000 miles without any clutch issues so personally I wouldn't be worried...

Which petrol to use for long journey

Personally I would stick with Super Unleaded. I get better mpg on a long run with it and better pick up in the outside lane if you've have to slow suddenly for any reason. A few pence more I know but worth it. Happy driving.

    Brake caliper decals - recommendations

Hi all Decided to have my calipers painted (front and rear) to smarten them up. Two recommendations for you: Firstly, E-Tech caliper paint from Amazon. Excellent results, now gloss black (less chavvy), looks the dogs now. Secondly, bought the Audi roundels stickers from the TT Shop on line...

AUTOMATIC GEARBOX SPECIALIST IN THE NORTH EAST

Give Autotechnica in Hull a call. They are both ex Audi Master Technicians and do a really good job. They won't do any work that isn't required. 01482 353369. Hope this helps.

How the F** do I re-attach the rear wiper arm spring?

Hi folks Decided to give the car (A4 Avant) a Christmas wash and when I lifted the rear wiper arm off the glass the spring fell out. How do I re-attach it? I've tried to hook the large end round the spindle but it just falls off. The spring looks undamaged and isn't stretched. Any suggestions...

    Tyres for B7 2.0TFSI SE

Just had Pirelli P Zero Rosso's fitted to my S-Line SE. Fantastic. Grip as good as the Conti's but much quieter and handles the ruts and bumps better. Bought 4 so managed to get them for £120 per wheel. Hope this helps.

    Pirelli P Zero Rosso's - Recommendation.

I know what you mean but I've had the car from new (with Conti's from new - changed several times) and this is the best it's ever been.

Great Audi Specialist in Hull - Cruise £145 fitted

I'd second all of the comments about Autotechnica. Andy relaced my cambelt and water pump for less than £350 compared to the rip off merchants at Priory Park. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Autotechnica and they deserve to succeed. p.s Got my shiny new Audi-Sport.net sticker now on the rear...

    Pirelli P Zero Rosso's - Recommendation.

Had to replace all 4 tyres at the weekend (ouch) so after phoning round swapped the Conti Sport Contacts for Pirelli's. What a difference! Handling improved (expected obviously) but smoother ride and tyre noise reduction is phenomenal. If any of you folks are able to travel to Malton, North...

Timing belt - when to change?

My A4 Avant 2.0T (petrol) will be 5 years old in October. Does the timing belt need changing at 5 years or 50,000 miles (whichever occurs sooner)? Also, is it best to have the water pump replaced at the same time? My local independent garage has quoted me just over £300 to do the job. Is...

    Headlamp upgrade

Hi. I'm thinking of fitting the new Osram bulbs as my headlights seem p**s poor - either that or I need new driving glasses. Can anyone recommend them as giving a better range of illumination or would i be wasting my heard earned. How easy are they to fit or is it a front of the car off job...

    B7 A4 Avant S-line rear mudflaps

Your dealer is just being lazy. Ask the Parts manager to look again. I have factory fitted front and rear mudflaps on my B7 Avant. They fit perfectly and look discrete. They protect the crud from the sides but the rear screen still gets filthy. Hope this helps.

    Alloy wheel refurb

Can anyone recommend a good alloy wheel refurb company in the Hull/Beverley area (East Yorks.) I kerbed an alloy recently :sadlike: and the local Audi garage did a cosmetic repair but the finish isn't very good (no lacquer applied) so the wheel is looking dull now. The wheel is a 5 spoke alloy...

how do i get to the fog lights?

Yep, easy to do. Also useful if your fogs get condensation in them. You can pull off the black surround and then get easy access to the rear of the light fitting and dry it out. For once its a job where you don't have to remove the whole bumper.

    Red T?

Yup, that's correct. I have the S-Line SE 220bhp Avant with a red 'T' on the tailgate. p.s what wear do you get from your tyres (Conti Sport Contacts) The fronts only lasted about 12k and the backs were shot after 31K.

    More power anyone?

Thanks, so had I and read the same on the forum. Thats why I was wondering if Audi had listened to its customers and modified the ECU again. You seem to have the best of both worlds with an A4 Cab and a decent bike
