I have the 2006 TFsi model (not sure which engine code) and 20k miles ago before I owned the car it had the following parts:
New balance shaft assembly £940.
Oil Pump Chain £23
Chain Tensioner £31
Labour £540 ish
Is this the same part as above that has gone wrong or been changed by a few...
I did exactly the same thing a few weeks ago on a kerb in McDonalds. Managed to push bumper back in place but a few of the clips on the bumper itself have snapped. I assume I will need a new bumper in time.

Does it start and run ok? If so maybe timing is fine?

Hi all. I have had my 2.0 Tfsi for just over a week and noticed the temp gauge taking ages to get up to the 90 mark, probably 20 mins at least.
Once it gets to 90, it will stay there if I am driving around town.
However, as soon as I go on the motorway it drops to halfway between the 50 and 90...
Small world - I went to see this car at Evans Halshaw Bretton a couple of weeks ago, basically the day after it had come in.
They couldn't let me test drive it as their mechanics had not checked it and if something happened to me on the test drive then they would be liable blah, blah, blah...
Don't have a part number for OEM ones but the Cruz ones I bought last year as above are now surplus to requirements as I have a B8.
Interested in buying them at all for a reasonable price? They are the silver Aluminium ones by the way.

The push bike changing gears sums the noise up perfectly.
I do use good oil and it is serviced every 12 months or 10k miles.
However, I will have a listen to mine and see if it is noticeable.
This wouldn't be a job I would do myself if it needed changing, would rather give it to my local indy...
