If you have removed the interior light and unplugged it then you may have plugged the cable in upside down, I did this and for weeks was trying to sort the problem, then I found out the cable was in upside down!!!
Common things to break on the b6/b7 are...
The glove box hinge
The armrest clip/catch
Roof storage box in the boot (cable usually breaks the plastic mounts which causes the box not to fold up)
Obviously check the roof opens and closes as it should
Check the front seats recline forward as they...
Im sure the cab upper is a direct swap with the saloon, im sure there must be someone on here who can confirm the part numbers for the lower tim but im pretty sure thats all the same in all a4's as the glove boxes are the same in the cab and the saloon. Seat exeo also has the cab dash:thumbsup:
Done it on mine. Can't remember the exact coding but I know on the coding list you have to add that the car is an avant to trick it into working. Doing this will disable you being able to open the roof from the drivers side door lock, I never used this so didn't bother me, I use my remote...
If the hinge hasn't snapped and your damper is stiff then just remove the damper. If the hinge is snapped you can't just glue it back, it will just break again. You have to add something to it like a bolt or a thick nail. There's a lot. Of guides on the internet to fix it.
When you say the car has satnav I'm assuming you mean its got an RNS-E Audi navigation plus unit in it. If you only wanting to use Bluetooth for music then why don't you just copy all the music onto an sd card and plug the sd card into the RNS-E?
I'd pull it all out if I were you. If the police pulled you over and noticed this you could be taken to court and given a driving ban. Have a read on google at cases of people having radar blockers on their cars.
Post a picture up of these lights please. OEM b8 lights will NOT fit a b7 unless it has extensive front end work carried out. B7 lights are a completely different shape and size to the b8 ones, obviously if your handy with taking things apart the drl's may fit into your b7 unit but apart from...
I've done it in my b6. Go to a scrappy, your find loads of audis with puddle lights etc i found that even some audis from 1996 had exactly the same lights as the b6/b7. I got a bundle of puddle lights from the doors as the puddle lights, footwell lights and red door markers are all the same...
You drove it to Mercedes with a faulty balancer shaft? Now your complaining that the turbo has blown? There were enough people on here saying don't drive it as it will blow the turbo!
Wise choice! I would never recommend anybody getting a reconditioned engine after what I went through. a decent low mileage unit from a decent supplier would always be a better bet. My "recon" engine also started leaking oil after a month due to them using what looked like window sealant for the...
Are this company well known? Where did you find them and have you done google searches on them? Just wondering as before my audi I had a celiac 190 t sport and the bottom end let go, found a company through breakers yard.com who would supply and fit a new recon engine, pick up and deliver my car...
