Cheers Rob...it's been on eBay since May, though.. Maybe I'm crap at eBay. I should have stuck on ATrader but thought that it would sell on eBay costing £15 in fees, as £50 for Autotrader is kind of a put off. Anyway, will have to just see what happens. I'd rather keep it but don't want to have...
Not making a sale thread here just asking some advice really, as I've had the car up for sale on eBay for months now, still not shifting. Need something smaller for my wife to drive (booo!) as she's finally getting round to doing her test. Any reason why it wouldn't sell? It's priced at £2600ish...
It's been on Pistonheads, probably the worst mobile site ever made. Seriously needs an overhaul. Autotrader....50 quid hmm...I'll let ebay run for the rest of the month for 15.
No no absolutely fair points made. I've removed the 'mods'. The recon engine..yeah I suppose it could be seen as a negative but for me with my history of mk2 escorts and minis it's seen as a massive bonus to someone like me.
Tbh I wish I'd just bought another a3 but the 8p version as I simply...
Good point. I've put a link to my car finance affiliate website on there now ;)
Soot There isn't really any tuning going on, an intake pipe and a filter is just putting longer lasting parts but I appreciate what you're saying and will remove and sell separately. I've dropped price to 4250 now...
Just to update this, I think a few of you are right it's not really worth much more than average price ie. 4-4.5k. Been on ebay for a week or two and no bites, it's a classified ad as I don't want an auction.
I've seen so many trade cars going for 5-7k that are in worse condition and more...
Hmm Ok thanks for the insight. I'm most likely selling so I can't see it making the money back as it's the same on 3 wheels and anyone that buys it would probs want 18s anyway so will just leave them I reckon. Cheers again.
Very nice 964 Rob :)
I'd be after a C2 996, just the vanilla one. I've been watching them sell for the last 2 years, 12k was the norm, then 10k then 9 for a long time now there are some cropping up for 7-8k. I know they are probably being sold due to a possible engine failure (of the said...
Haha no chance. Having owned two mk2 escorts and wish I'd kept them I hate driving aids with a passion, although a 4wd when I buy one will be permanent 4wd....proper 4. Seems that your Quattro boys have 4wd envy ;)
Thanks guys. I know we're enthusiasts so we have more of an idea and for me a ten year old car that's 7k sounds ludicrous but someone might see it as a good deal with an engine that won't need anything for a good 50k. Mk1 tts are still commanding a high value, not in the same league I know but...
Thanks Rob, that's the kind of answer I need really. I have just struggled to find similar cars as most are 4wd Sline or se avants.
I like to think I could get 7 for it as I'd sell privately not even on forums etc and push the new engine thing.
The point about tuning maybe this is what is...
This isn't a sale thread although I understand if it gets deleted but I have no intention of selling yet I just want to hear from enthusiasts how much I could get for my car.

New rebuilt bgb engine in October everything replaced cam belt...
Mines come back to bite me. Duff switch? I've had three replacements two of which were the wrong ones. Finally got the right one and now a few months later it's overrevving again but not as much/high as before. Coolant sensor and start have been changed in the past 6 months (when new engine was...
