    if you arent too bothered about having the best HD telly (i.e. 1080p which is 1900x1080 resolution) then get one like my old telly which is 1368x768 resolution (aka 720p). It will be lots cheaper (prob few hundred quid at least) and can still display HD pictures from a blu ray/HD DVD player...
