    s3 or R32

I never really have understood why the mk4 R32 holds more weight in vag circles than the newer mk5? Personally think the mk5 in the right colour, leather buckets and right wheels is a lovely thing. It's not all about outright speed, at cruising speed the noise of an R32 is gorgeous.

    s3 or R32

get an R32 while you have disposable income and just enjoy the noise. you can have the more sensible S3 when you are older and a bit more boring! You wont get away with the noise an R32 makes with a mr's and nippers on board in a few years! I have owned V6 golf's and driven S3's and would have...

    My audi a3 3.2 v6 quattro - valuation needed

I think £4250 is realistic price. The mods will put off more people than they will attract. Akoya isnt the most desirable colour. It's a tad miley. I personally like it though.

Car Won't Start, No Dash Lights

Have you contacted the company (BBA reman) I recommended on my above posts? The guy I spoke to was confident they would be able to diagnose and fix the problem. Maybe worth e mailing or calling them to see what they think, for £135 that they seem to charge I would rather repair my own cluster...

    Help Removing S-Line Spoiler

Best bet is to dry fit it first to see how easy it is. Once you are confident stick it on with double sided tape (old stuff cleaned off) We use this stuff at work 3M *10mm Tape Car Truck Attachment Double Side Adhesive | eBay With the bolts as well to hold it it should be fine and almost...

    Help Removing S-Line Spoiler

Good result then! Looks like factory spec fitment on that one so it's not been off before. It's a nightmare when they have been removed for whatever reason (new rear screen or painting) and then glued back on with polyurethane adhesive. It's a total pig to remove. Good job.

    Help Removing S-Line Spoiler

I remove spoilers like this all the time at work (work in a body shop). They are removable but forget trying solvents or petrol! They are Held on with polyurethane adhesive and it doesn't like to be removed! Best way is to cheese wire them off with a Windscreen removal wire ( if there is enough...

    S3 I might be buying tomorrow....thoughts....?

That colour combo of red with beige seats would make the car hard to move on I would have thought? It's definitely a marmite car. Ibis White with black leather ftw! I would wait for the absolute perfect car for you, especially spending 20k! S3's are not exactly rare. You might not get many...

    S3 gone , now in an R36!

They did these in an estate form too. The ultimate sleeper? 0-60 in 5.6 and 300 bhp are very tidy figures! Nice car, enjoy.

Advice on a small problem please...

Cut the pipe in two at the holed point and join back together with a straight washer pipe connector. Job done. The ribbed plastic pipe can be a little tricky to slide over the connector but a small amount of heat ( like a quick blast from a cigarette lighter) will soften the plastic pipe and...

Nothing I can do but share my feeling / what your opinions

I'm sorry but I don't see why you wouldn't take the train down to Manchester on a weekend and enjoy the drive home? You can't be that giddy about the car or you would have it already. If you want something doing right, do it yourself!

    1st Damaged repairable RS3 i have seen!

I have to say I don't think that looks a bad one to repair at all. I work a senior panel repair technician in a large body shop and I repair cars like that every week. You have to remember most of the damage you can see here is bolt on parts or welded panels which are all readily available in...

Audi A3 1.9 vs 2.0 for fuel economy (around 2004-2006)

Theres no denying the 105 is no hotrod but keep it in the the low revs and ride the torque and it's absolutely fine. Will cruise at 90 all day long. Ours is returning an easy 50-60 mpg on a run.

    HELP please, car won't start?

So, just had a call from Evan's halshaw. They unloaded the car from the transporter and it started first time so they claim! They have run a diagnostic and the only thing logged was a dodgy water temp sensor? I'm convinced there must be a fault with the cluster/ immobiliser though after my...
