Yep it's an S3 and I thought that seemed too good to be true! I'll check both of those places out.
I'm just looking to replace the clutch at the moment, unsure on the flywheel. If I do then I'll probably go for the LUK one as I won't be chasing performance beyond what I already have so no need...
Hi
I've been doing some googling to find the best (read cheapest) place for a Sachs organic clutch for my S3 to replace the standard one that is currently slipping (car is mapped), and came across this...
Thanks batch, that's just the answer I was looking for. I'll go for the adaptor.
That's what I meant in my second question, wanted to check that no functionality was lost with these before I bought one!
Apologies if this has been asked already but a search didn't yield any results for me.
I'm looking to get a new iPod to plug into my AMI (MY11 car). The current connector in the glove box is for iPhones/iPods with the old 30 pin ports.
I know there was a lot of discussion around whether or...
When you say B/T/F do you mean boost/timing/fuelling? Bit of a noob sorry
I put it down to me expecting a huge difference from stock based on what I had read, rather than a real problem. Maybe I was given the linear map, I'll check, but most likely I won't have noticed a subtle change...
Yeah I'm pretty sure you have to be militant about having your car serviced at audi and at the correct intervals. But if you have done this then it's a bit of a no brainer surely?
I've been pretty underwhelmed with my Revo Stage 1 map, the print out showed 320bhp but it doesn't feel any different to standard. MY11 so presumably with Rev D valve. There aren't any issues with the car, almost six months on and I'm still waiting for some spare time when I can pop back to AMD...
I am pleased to report back that it was worth it! The car feels smoother now and although I haven't had much of an opportunity to hoon around due to weather, it is different. The biggest difference to me is at higher speed, particularly when I drop to 4th on the motorway, 3rd is also better and...
Cheers guys, I'll just stick with it then and be anal about the maintenance. At a guess I expect it will only work out at £200-250 a year if I change the oil and plugs every 4 months on average, which is about the cost of a night in a posh hotel. So less hotels, more oil.
Thanks :)
Ah ok, I will have to set reminders on my phone then  Yeah I've seen a lot written about the PCV system, would a catch can reduce the oil change frequency?
Cheers Ads, I would been surprised about a blow up from Stage 1 too! Yeah it's a manual so I expect the clutch will go early, but to me that sounds like a good chance to upgrade to a Sachs one haha.
Hi Alex
Thanks for getting back so quickly! Good to know that I shouldn't be expecting anything terrible then. What would be the long term consequences if I didn't change the oil and plugs often enough. I will be using the car for work starting from next week and I expect that I'll be doing...
My S3 is booked in to get the Revo Stage 1 map tomorrow and I'm a little bit worried about how it's going to affect my warranty. I called up my local dealership which I take the car to for servicing and they have said that I will invalidate the warranty with relation to any engine component...
I guess everything you see on here will be down to individual preference. My best advice is take each of them for a test drive and see which one you prefer driving! And they're both really good colours!
I'm not sure what the S-tronic is like on the A3/S3, but when I had a TT courtesy car with it I wasn't very impressed. My two pennies.
Are you looking at an A3 or an S3?
