I'm trying to find people who can do the fit - anyone there ? Please ?
I still hold that bonding, properly done, is as strong as you can get. And that is the key - properly done. Parts of the space shuttle were held together by bonding. With bonding, it is usually the material attached to...
To put things in perspective, windscreens are bonded to your car and form part of the strength of the car - the correct adhesives are as strong as, if not stronger, than some metal screwed joints.
I am not capable of doing the roof liner removal myself, but if you know someone who can do it -...
I've had TUPS LEDs for the past year - great service. If you have the puddle lights they can be a bit of a sod to fit - but the rest is child's work. No CANBUS errors
I have just removed a bluetooth unit from my 2005 A3 which will be going on Ebay. You don't say what year your wife's A3 is - I can provide you with the part number of mine - it has worked perfectly but I have moved to a new head unit which has BT included. The microphone is included.
I would like to add roof rails to my 8P Fastback 2005. I have managed to get a set. Has anyone had experience of fitting them using bonding rather than taking the roof lining out to screw them on. I don't intend to use them to carry goods, just from the point of view of appearance - although...
I spent hours looking then paid the £47 to get the genuine Audi ones - Stoke Audi Parts was the cheapest I could find at the time. I am very pleased with them. I just need to find the rear set now !
Just to let everyone know, despite paying an Audi dealer for a diagnosis (wishbone bushes or differential) it turned out to be the o/s drive shaft. This was replaced under warranty and the car drives beautifully now.
Letters will be written to the dealer !
I don't want to do the indicators though - it would make more sense to put LEDS in the side lights and make them DRLs. I seem to remember something about Canada settings
I know its the smallest fault - rear washer jet is a common issue - pull it off and clean it out, or get a new one off Ebay for £2.99. This won't fix the wiper motor leak though !
My 05 A3 has Xenons (not bi-Xenons) and automatic lights. Is there a setting that can be used to set up the sidelights, or the fog lights, to operate as drls ?
Also, I note that the automatic lights seem to come on when it is still quite light - is there a sensitivity adjustment available...
I am not sure how similar the tiptronic is to DSG in the way it works. However I was worried about the increase on hills - as you say, strain or torque, which made me start to worry about drivetrain issues. However, I'm pinning my hopes on bushes first !
Its interesting - my wobble is just 25-35 mph, but is worse going up hill - I don't know if the fact that I have a tiptronic gearbox makes a difference
