Hi,
When I press the Max button for my Air Conditioning/Blower to demist the Windscreen there doesn't seem to be any air coming out the vents just below the windscreen. The fan makes a noise like a fan on max, but no or very little air seems to be coming out the vents. Does anyone else have this...
So about 18months after I started this Thread about the SOS call malfunction, I had 2 software updates this week and it has fixed the issue. My handsfree doesn't fail and the SOS warning no longer appears. Also the MMI no longer reinitialises when signed logged in as the key user.
Like @howett...
Great! That's good to hear. The issue has been happening loads for me too driving around London. Will be so happy once it is fixed.
I have booked mine in for Tuesday.
Wow...I started this thread over a year ago and there is still no fix. I still get the SOS call malfunction....not just driving through London, but also on longer journeys round the M25 or towards the coast.
Still hoping Audi sort out the tech gremlins in their A3.
As the person who started this thread it is a relief to finally see Audi admitting to the issue and saying it is due to be fixed at the end of November. Seeing as it has affected so many cars across VWMG since 2017 it is crazy it has taken them this long.
Thanks for sharing.
Hey so yesterday something else strange happened with the handsfree when on a call. It suddenly became all static/robotic when speaking. Each time someone spoke it sounded like a robot/C3P0. And it was like that for any further calls so was completely unusable. It seemed to reset back to normal...
So I have been driving my car in Guest Mode as some have suggested and I still got the same issue...when on a call, the person suddenly can't hear you and then the SOS call malfunction warning appears. Any subsequent calls still have the same issue.
After the car was off for an hour the SOS...
I've had 2 new A3 8Y due to rejection and the replacement sounds better than the first. So I don't know...maybe something wasn't set up or powered correctly in the 1st.
The sound is meant to project from dash speaker so sound hits windscreen and reflects back through the car. My sub definately...
Thanks. Yes the 5G interference is something that has been mentioned before. The issue is that no one seems to know for sure what the cause is or how to fix it.
I think the Radio text is usually a setting you can adjust.
With regards to others being able to hear you - that's great. But the fault comes and goes when ever the MMI resets or SOS warning appears, so it will likely happen again. I went on a long drive yesterday on Motorway and through towns...
Hey I actually don't have this fault on my car...I have the SOS fault. But I found this on another site about the update they did for you.
Service measure 27I4 - service measure Audi A3
