Andy, what are the disadvantages of tapping into the Audi sub loom with your mini loom - it seems like a lot of saved trouble compared with running rcas down the car. Does the mini loom require the rca to be extended so it can reach the amp, or is it long enough already?

The symphony units go on ebay from time to time. Other than that, if you do take the Audi warranty out, would such a thing be covered . I know if my cd kept getting stuck i'd be straight round to audi asking for a unit under warranty.

Yep, mine plays CD-Rs and CD-RWs as well.

Jedi, I was wrong on the symphony info. Not all symphonys have the inbuilt cd changer. Some just have a single cd and tape player, but may have a cd changer in the boot as well. Probably best to confirm with the owner when you see a car you like.
