Thread resurrection.
Selling my Motec ultralight wheels and buyer is asking if there would be any issues with them on an RS3 saloon.
They are 19x8.5J ET43 Square setup.
They came with 5mm spacers and extended bolts so can't imagine there would be any clearance issues would there?
I dont think even removing the motor will give you much access as the valve will be sealed to prevent exhaust gasses escaping.
The only way I can think of would be going in from the tip end of the exhaust but that's pretty much unfeasible unless you use a borescope or something to see where you...
I wouldn't recommend a soray like wd40 as good chance it would just mix with carbon deposits around the valve and turn into a glue like paste.
Maybe a graphite based lubricant?
Or get the ABS module update that fixes the traction intervention issue and run whatever tyres you want.
Not had a single moment of flickering TC light in over 2 years since had it done and have run staggered sets of MPS4S and now Contintal Sport Contact 7s
Also should be 235/35 on rears

I had an issue years ago with ds2500 pads where the discs got so hot on track the pads left deposits on the surface of the disc which caused horrendous judder.
Getting discs skimmed sorted it but won't use ds2500 again
Honestly near zero oil consumption on mine.
Check it every 4 weeks and never had to top up between services in over 2 years of owning .
Have heard its not uncommon for DAZA units to use a little oil though
Haldex probably needs a software update.
Was talking to a tech at Ecotune last year and he said a few of their customers who run staggered PS4S on the RS3 have had traction light issues and solved with Haldex software update
In fairness I was using a 7mm Allen bit on a 3/8th drive , would have been much easier with a 7mm Allen key but of course that and the 9mm are missing from my set , probably gone to the same realm as my 10mm socket [emoji849].
Dunno if all RS3 rears are the same or perhaps just the angle my...
So after giving up with reyland and their poor communication I've just put on a set of OEM pads for the short term until I decide on what rear discs to go for.
Feck me they made the top slide pin on each rear caliper inaccessible with their brake line routing , passenger side was particularly...
