Yeh it's a real shame about the filters, obviously they are there because they have to be but they completely change the tone of the engine/exhaust not just the noise level
Also the sound was a big issue, it wasn't just the lack of pops and bangs it just didn't sound like a 5 pot engine with the opfs.
My Golf R sounded about the same tbh.
From the videos I saw of the stage 1 revo map it still sounded abit **** with the filters.
The only thing that put me off revo compared to mrc is the map seemed to be abit flat on my previous rs3.
The mrc one was alot more brutal and you could really feel the torque
That was my experience on the DAZA so I stuck with mrc again
Stock it made 371bhp but they think that was due to bad fuel as it was pulling timing.
After the fuel was changed it made 489 with the map
This is a video of it on mrcs dyno , you can't see much because of the shutter and noise restrictions but you can hear the difference between stage 2 and...
I went stage 2 on my opf this week,
Although I didn't go for intercooler, I will do at a later date.
Made 490bhp and 655nm, pops and crackles alot in dynamic. It has completely transformed the car. The drive of the opf rs3 is very different to previous daza engine. Before it was very flat...
Each to there own and all that, I personally wouldn't own an RS car with seats that look like the ones from a bottom of the range A4.
They massively effect the resale value as well. The ss seats are the must have option for most buyers
I found when buying and selling my last 2 rs3s its all about the options. Audi dealers generally had lower spec cars which is why they are cheaper.
If it has the supersport seats and pan roof it will fetch decent money.
I would say in todays market its priced about right looking at simular...
In the wet or a damp road it was a waste of time having 450bhp , fun in the dry and with warm tryes but still I couldn't drive it like I could the rs3 or even my golf r .
The m3 was much more raw and hard-core. I drive the rs5 and when I had rs3 in dynamic most of the time and its still very...
Well that lasted about a month!
Back in an audi after missing being able to throw it into a corner without it trying to spin and kill me. So hard to have a spirited drive in the m3 without the conditions being perfect.
This time I decided to go for an rs5 after having 2 rs3s.
Its not capped, alot of it depends on what your engine was putting out before the map.
Thats the good thing about doing a run before and after like a few tuners do.
If you haven't done the elbow you should as its quite restricted on that engine.
How was the exhaust sound ? Alot of reviews say they are pretty poor compared to the rs3. Miltek seems to be the way to go to get a decent sound out of them.
I'm tempted to get one, I've had a pfl rs3 and and a fl saloon rs3. Fancy something a bit different. They seem to have a lot more in...
Really Impressed with it so far. Pulls really hard
i had abit of a play with a mates fl rs3 sportback and the m3 pulls a noticeable difference ahead on the motorway. I haven't tried a launch yet because
It's pointless in this weather.
It doesn't sound as bad as the reviews suggest to be...
