*Sigh* It was always going to happen I guess, poor old V8...The noise was the only thing that would possibly swing me over from an S4 when it's time to change. Once the kids are bigger ill probably change for an S6 next, provided they dont chuck the V8 from that too by the time it comes around.

Why not? An S4 at present delivers 328bhp (.....quoted..:blink: ) from a 3.0 TFSI with a supercharger. If this just not supercharged then 272bhp sounds about right. This is the A4 line-up, the S model will be introduced later on with an uprated engine so they have to leave themselves somewhere...
