Got it working on my 2016 A4!! Nvidia MIB2 Just needed to do the adaptation in 5F to turn off remote_HMI. As a result it has removed the Audi Connect icon from the MMI, but GE is working! Hopefully it stays working.

I have 2 USB ports under the armrest, on newer cars there is one near the 12v socket. If I'm taking apart the console to change the engine start button, it could be a good time to retrofit an extra USB port at the same time. Is this possible? Even if it was just power and not data?

Yesterday I fitted new rear lights. They are the genuine Audi tinted LED lights part number 8W5052100A. Old original lights with dynamic indicators now on eBay. Before During After Now the car need a good wash, maybe todays job.

Thanks. It's more my wife that likes the heated seats! I was having a proper look round the car today and found an Audi connect plug & play box in the glovebox. Sure enough it is plugged into the diagnostic port. Has anyone used one of these? Not sure whether to keep it in or not.
