Hi guys
I gave my car another scan today as its been a while since i last done one and it come back with these errors:
3 Faults Found:
16395 - Bank 1: Camshaft A (Intake): ****** Setpoint not Reached (Over-Advanced)
P0011 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17608 - Boost Pressure...
I just had another go at it and .......
I tried the method posted in post 3 but as soon as i try and go to channel 21 It just says this:
[
Then i tried the methods in the link posted in post 9 And this is what it says before and after i try to sync the new key:
Any other ideas :(
Thanks again for you reply
When i say it doesn't see the original key , what i mean is that vag doesn't see it. i can use the fob to unlock the doors etc.
.
The first thing i tried was changing the battery.....lol
I'm not sure what you mean by does the part number match the working one mate.
Do you mean are they both the same MHz ?
If so then yes they are.
EDIT:
I just took them both apart and the part number of the one that's working is...
No mate its not from ebay..
When i bought the car it come with two keys, one that works and on that don't.
The person i bought the car from said that that one that works was not the original key and he had it made.
The one that doesn't work still works in the door and starts the engine...
Thanks for the reply ;)
I've actually tried that method before i found the one i posted up.
The problem is i cant click Test as its dull (yes i have a full copy of vagcom....lol).
Also i need to use central locking 35 instead of central convenience 46.
Hi guys
Is there another way to test a key fob to see if it just needs to be synced or if it just doesn't work?
This is the method I've been trying:
Open central locking controller (35), and go to measuring blocks.
Open channel 3, and in block 4 there are 4 zeros.
Using any remote...
I had a chance to give the car a good run over the weekend so i did another scan this morning.
All the original fault have gone but i have a couple of new ones.....lol
Here they are :
Address 35 -------------------------------------------------------
Controller: 8D0 862 257 E...
I've just found this thread : http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/vcds-formerly-vag-com-forum/74241-window-closure-key-fob.html
Have a look at post 8 and 9 (and the link in post 8)
I just cant see how its done....lol
Thanks for the reply ;-)
Yes it does use 35 (not 46 like a lot of guides say).
Its a 2001 A3 1.8T Sport.
The standard setting is like you say, you keep your finger on the fobs lock button and it closes the windows, but as soon as you let go of the button the windows stop going up...
