Time for some fun and to show off your car

Interesting that have more confidence in the cupra. There will be lots of test drives when allowed.

Time for some fun and to show off your car

Good stuff. I was always happy with the S3 mpg, just wondered if the extra weight had much impact.

Time for some fun and to show off your car

How are you finding the Cupra, what’s it like on the juice? Tempted by one of these or Volvo XC40 T5. Just need that little bit more clearance, the Volvo does have a bit more and wading capability which could swing it.

Handing car back - what a faff!

It’s certainly different, you can pick up 135i’s for that money. A potential investment If you are going to garage/not drive it but even then I can’t see it becoming a classic.

Facelift Took the S3 out on track.... nearly didn't go well...

And people wonder why motor insurers exclude track days...

    Any experiences with A3 3.2 Quattro ?

I had the same engine in a TT, it wasn’t silly fast but made a great noise. Brace yourself for increased fuel bills and make sure the dsg has been maintained properly. I had a mechatronic failure which ended up very pricey. The other option is to consider a TT, really liked the mk1 interior...

How to make the ride smoother on an Audi S3 Quattro?

I found my facelift 3 door suspension to be relatively compliant, that was a non mag ride, I don’t think you’d want it any softer, it’s wasn’t the sharpest at the best of times.

    S3

I went from a mk3 TT TDI ultra to a facelift S3, I much preferred the TT despite the less power, it handled better, looked better, somehow felt a bit more special. Make sure you take an S3 on a long test drive before committing.

    Bye Bye S3

Or an SQ2, I think they are the equivalent in the Sufi range.

    Bye Bye S3

That’s a lot of car for the money. How are you finding it compared to the S3?

    Coast2coast anyone?

Should have got the RF, better looking, RWD and less chavy than a Fiesta.... :footy:

    Bye Bye S3

I think that’s a key point, there isn’t much which can match a Golf R, S3 and A35 for value and performance.

    Bye Bye S3

That was my problem, I expected a bit more involvement but you don’t get that with DSG and Quattro. The S3 is a brilliant car though.

    Bye Bye S3

That’s how I felt about my S3, extremely effective in power delivery. It just isn’t a sports car, it’s more of a GT. People mock my MX5 but it’s so much fun to drive, puts a smile on your face everyday.

S3 going next month, hello 330e Touring..

That looks very smart, didn’t realise the 330e power was that high from stock now.

Looking for some advice, BMW 440i GC vs S3 Saloon

Very nice, had chance to open the taps up? Loved the sound of the 440i.

Looking for some advice, BMW 440i GC vs S3 Saloon

Seats don’t look that smart but are more secure. Agree lower dash doesn’t look good at all, window switches look particularly poor quality.
