I've had the brakes activate on their own with the PS warning. it's happened when a car in front is turning off on a slip lane to the right & i've carried on past. If it still thinks theres a chance of hitting the car in front, it will hit the brakes..

This has nothing to do with the so called electric steering. Its the way the cars are set up these days. The only difference between them, is one pump is driven directly off the engine, & the other is driven by an electric motor. The feedback through the steering wheel would be exactly the same...
