Pearlescents tend to have flakes in, otherwise they wouldnt be pearlescent. I'm assuming they are just a finer grade. Its these that would change the hue of the red to orange etc.- Inverted

Yup Misano.... I can't make out a discernible flake in the paint though unlike Phantom black I had on one of the A1's...- Inverted

New to the forum, so thought I would say hi. Not new to Audi, 2 previous A3's, a foray into a couple of A1's, but I picked up another A3 yesterday loving it so far!- Inverted
