Have an A6 estate C5 and it came with roof bars. I've seen these can be used to carry bicycles, do I need to buy a permanent roof rack that goes across the bars or some bars etc. What are the options please?
I had the coolant temp sensor, thermostat and fuel temp sensor replaced earlier in the year as well as wiring around fuel temp sensor fixed and consumption went back to good levels at last.
Noticed a couple of days ago water in passenger footwell so those drainage holes below the windscreen...

I just bought a bottle of injector cleaner, is that likely to help at all? The other bits you mention above, are they expensive for a mechanic to diagnose?

Also if this helps, it suddenly the other day got 150 for £20 then today 100 miles for £20 with similar driving style, can this help point to what the issue may be.

Have the above 2004 model, 130BHP, had issues with fuel consumption and had coolant temp sensor and thermostat replaced, seem to do the trick. Then again fuel consumption went really bad. It's now plunged even further. Getting just over 100 miles for £20 when that would of got 160 before and 200...
My partner has an A6 1.9tdi 130 sport, just changed all four tyres as weren't looking great and noticed the temperature guage seems to be around 70 degrees and think it should be 90? Is this just a change of thermostat or can it be something else required too? Also anyone know of an Audi...
