Is it easy to retrofit ANY of the Sat Nav's, or do the later ones (ie 2007) require modifying to make them fit?

A bit off topic, but not much... I want to also add a multifunction to my 04 cab, but the local stealer has told me not to bother as it might cause all sorts of issues. Has anyone done this, and if so the obvious question is.. any issues?

I'm due to pick up my 2004 cab. this friday. I want to fit a sat nav unit but am getting lost with all the audi codes. Which model numbers will fit? Obviously I want to go as new as poss, but do the later B7 units fit? Thanks in advance. Sean:confused:
