To be honest i don't know. It certainly feels slower now though and the mpg has dropped 2 mpg.
I've started it a low price because it has no manufacturers name or numbers on it either
You simply unplug the fuel pump harness, plug that into the tuning box then the box onto the fuel pump - 5mins job.
I've just listed mine last night if you're interested ?

Defo keep it for the moment. I'm just down the road in south shields, got a 2.5 quattro b6 avant auto, mines up for sale shortly though as the wife doesnt like the auto - but thats another story !
Will get another b6 or b7 though, great cars !
Can you afford to keep it off the road for a while, if you can I say keep it for the moment and don't make any hasty decisions you'll regret later Things will pick up for you soon I'm sure. What model is it out of interest ?
Had a similar problem last week on my bau 2.5 TDI quattro. A small hose had split leading to the black/white non return valve on the bulkhead. Erratic boost and 'barking' engine with loss of power. No vcds codes either. Check your vac lines over.
Just been offered a set of 4 RS6 replicas 18" in immaculate unmarked condition for my 2.5Q avant, 6 months old with 4x Vredstein Ultrac Sessantas 235/40 x 18 all with 6mm+ tread for £400. Seems like an ok price to me even though they're replicas. What does anyone think ?
Tried to remove my egr valve this weekend but failed miserably (how do you remove the 2 x 13mm bolts on the exhaust inlet pipe - impossible!!!!!!!!)
What I did find was a probable boost leak and reason for the soot on my inlet manifold - see pics........
Check your pipe if you've got soot on...
That's great thanks, mine will throw a fault though, I tried just plugging the egr vac line as an experiment and the light came on after a mile or two. I might try and reduce the egr duty right down on VCDS to see if it makes a difference first
Thanks for that, does it really serve any purpose then ?
I found the vac line and connected it back up and it's only maybe made a slight diffence to the way the engine stops. Any advantage in removing it, and if so how did you do it ?
You seem pretty knowledgeable on the 2.5 tdi reading past...
Thanks for the reply
Mine's a 53 plate BAU engine so I think it will throw a code, it did when I plugged the VAC line on a trial run
How easy is it to remove the valve anyway, one of the bolts looks near impossible to remove
Cheers
