Now you may remember my thread about the clutch slipping after a remap, well that was a week ago and things have started going strange, some days the clutch will slip and some days it wont??? Now surly if the clutch plate is worn it would slip all the time???

After reading some very bad stories on line I've decided I'm going to order a clutch myself and have the local garage fit it. I will be ordering a Sachs clutch kit (no flywheel) off of ebay. Can someone post a link for the correcet one I need?? 02 1.8T sport.many thanks guys.

It protects the rubber from the buffer head and also stops polish going under it, can be a right PITA to clean off other wise! Less mess to clean off also.

Be so cool if you could clear coat over everything, it would look proper and be water resistant too...

Well all finished and WOW what a difference, looks like its been resprayed ha. It's took me all weekend but definatly worth it. Just finished it off with a couple of coats of G3 Professional Resin Wax. My neighbous must think I've got a OCD, maybe I have.... :yum:

Take it off and paint it, Get yourself some red scotch, a can of spray etch primer and a can of satin black.

I use 1200 grit discs on a D.A (sander) and actually sand the clear coat down, this is the only way to remove deep(ish) scratches, I then repeat the process with a 3000 grit disc to take all the 1200 prep marks out, I then use a fast cutting compound on a compounding buffer head to bring the...

Being in the trade and having this weekend spare I thought its about time to sort my paint work out. Been busy today flatting the car with 1200 grit then moving to 3000 then buffing and finishing with extra fine polish on the buffer. The difference is absolutly amazing. Got half the car done...

Do Gsf sell uprated clutches?? And would I need to upgrade the flywheel or replace it with a standard one or just leave it if its ok??

Ok thanks az, the car is going nowhere until Monday morn when it will be taken to the garage. I've been quoted 370 for clutch, 940 if it needs a flywheel!!

Picked her up around 4 from the place that mapped it, then took it for a drive and everything was great then the clutch starts slipping nooooooooo!!! It drives and goes into gear fine and it's fine if you come up the revs slowly but floor it and it slips. There is no vibration coming throught...

Just about to get my 1.8t remapped and I've read it's good to change the n75f valve for the n75e, has anyone do this as ill get it done with the remap if so, thanks
