hi there people, i was wondering how difficult it would be to transplant a 2.5 v6 into my 1.9tdi 1997 audi a4 avant? i can sort the immobilizer out etc. what would i need? subframe mounts? would it mate with the 1.9tdi gearbox? ecu engine loom? and its FWD not quatro. thank you in advance

JOM are what i have, been fine. what were the raceland ones like as my pals b5 needs coilovers. are they stiffer as my JOM's are only slightly stiffer than standard

yeah but they dont seize if you use grease and tape. and how often do you adjust your ride height?

fixed the rattle with a big home made washer. been fine for a few months now. dont all coilovers seise tho? oh and a good tip is wrap all the treads in tape then smear grease over the tape. stops them rusting.

we all take risks tho, driving in general is a risk :)

haha i know... i always buy the right stuff for the job but this car is shearly just a run around to the shops and somtimes to work. i dont trust them but there sertainly better thn two snaped standar springs /... JUST haha

the make is jom. i know i know there the cheapest on earth but there good for money. the shock itself dosent rattle its where it is bolted into the top mount. when you raise the car up on the jack the shock sits where it should but when you lower the jack the shock just rases off the topmount...

yeah, i think i muct of put them together wrong, the shock comes through the top mount and rattles about like a little scoolgirl.!!??? realy anoying, im going to have yet another look tonight and if i cant resolve it i can se a modification coming!!!

hi guys, i have fitted my new coilovers to my a4 avant (b5), the front is all fine but the nearside (passanger side) REAR seems to be rattling. it sounds like the shock is rattling inside the top mount. i have taken the coilover and shock off several times and cant seem to find anything...

also i would have a little look at ALL your boost/vacume lines as i found a little hole which was throwing mine into limp mode when i put the foot down.
