Thats it , you just have to take the tuners claims with a pinch of salt most of the time. Take yesterday , the remapped 8P's just about made there claimed power , but what the tuners don't tell you , is the Std S3's put's out up to 290bhp. :) p

SUMMARY Haldex/4WD is always working 10-15% minimum torque , the faster you go the more torque is transferd to the rear axel. Under front wheel slippage/spin , up to 100% torque can in theory be sent to the rear. I had the new Leon Cupra 240-260bhp Std , it span like mad , TC light going...

If you've come from a 300bhp Impreza the S3 is gonna feel sluggish in speed and handling. The S3 8L and 8P are not the last word in fun , speed and handling, there are better cars for the money! The S3 is a great all round package , decent poke and handling a luxury cabin with nice toys ...

No one has mentioned STI's in this thread mate. As you've brought it up...... Yes the new one is a GOOD car and will beat a S3 on the track and in a drag......but IMHO they look nasty , a T-reg 1.6 Ford Focus with Lexus lights and wheels the size of marbles! p
