On the 1.8T is it worth buying a kit like this to the rear discs ? I'm upgrading my front discs from 288mm to 312mm. When I read this post I thought that I might also upgrade the rear discs. Any ideas on this ? Thanks

Hi, already installed the 3" downpipe on my A3 1.8T! I bought it from ebay, from THS Performance, it's a direct bolt on on the A3! The only issue is that now I don't have cat installed, only a test pipe! I'll have to solve the cat issue asap. The sound of the turbo working is great...

Have a look on this foruns: audiforums.com They have several good threads about that issues and the oil sludge problem. According to some users of that forum the Audi engines (1.8T) that are affected by that kind of issues are not the transversal engines that we found on the A3/S3 or TT...

Great even better! I read here on the forum that the stock cat flows weel. Is it a option to maintain the standard cat with a better downpipe ? Ok assuming that I have someone to perform the job of separating the cat from the stock downpipe.
