At the last MOT the tech noticed that the temp. guage was reading 10 degrees lower than the actual engine temp, and more recently the temp warning symbol has been coming up despite the car not overheating (eg it'll beep as soon as I start it up in the morning). It used to be...
That was the answer I was going to give. Was a constant bone of contention on Club Polo, the general consensus seemed to be that as long as the TREAD didn't protrude from the arch a majority of the authorities would consider it legal.

(Then get a bollocking from the mrs due to lack of boot space/power steering etc.)
Mine was refused by Crawley Audi because the roofrail bubbling has started from the surface down rather than the bottom up?

Can anyone recommend a place, obviously there's QST but I've no idea if they fabricate exhausts and I can;t imagine they'd be overly cheap if they do!

Thanks, that scorpion backbox is similar to the normal Milltek cat-back I was wanting anyway. But the R32 style one has a single exit either side of the bumper.
I couldn't say to be honest. I've read good things about the ECS kit in both the 10lb and 20.5lb guises. Both come with a new, bigger pressure and clutch plates.
Having said that, I can't really afford a new 'box...
I can get a brand new LUK standard dual mass flywheel and clutch for £240.
BUT
Is the stage 1 ECS kit (lightweight single mass flywheel, 228mm clutch) worth the extra £90 over the LUK kit?
Bit unsure on the ECS kit as I've been cautioned against mating a flywheel and clutch from different...
