I've owned 5 MINIs. A JCW or even a Cooper S will be an amazing drive compared with the A1. Not everyone wants a drivers car so the A1 looks like a great compromise.

If asking me (the OP) I haven't ordered but am interested. I would go for the 30 tfsi or whatever the stupid name is. Have same engine in my A3 and it is excellent.

Probably stating the obvious (sorry) but the air circulation feature is not turned on is it? I would take the car to the dealer for checking. They might have a way to dry it out. If it comes back it may have a leak. Try all footwells for a damp spot and also under the carpet in the boot.

The 1.0tfsi is great in my A3 so should be even better in the A1.

New A1 is looking far too expensive. The negative comments on the inferior plastics (hard doors etc) make it look even more expensive. I have an A3 and thought the new A1 would be my next car but the base a3 is more than my a3 was 2 years ago given that discount and pcp contribution will be less.

See if you can get quotes from brokers such as carbuyer, orange wheels etc and try and get dealer to match them.

For me, the only thing that sells Audi is that they are known to offer the best interior. They are also known to not offer the best driver experience. A1 looks to be worse against NINI, Seat, Fiesta @ perhaps even Polo. So, if interior is no better or worse, driver experience is worse and...

Googled and read auto express and saw video review from someone like Parker.

Very much doubt my next car will be an Audi unless there are amazing deals on offer. MINI, Golf, Polo, Fiesta looking more likely.

First reviews are out. Seems quality is no better than a Polo and lags behind MINI. Seems even more over priced now.
