Good point - I was thinking about my A6 which has rear sensors. You will just have the one up front.
You should see the sensor from the top of the caliper (pad nearest the car).
Does sound like a sensor - using a multimeter to test continuity wont work as it's an intermitted fault.
This is the type of sensor you need - https://www.eurocarparts.com/search/106440138
Don't buy from ECP - you can grab them from ebay for a couple quid.
As suggested above you should be able...
Bosch - I wouldn't touch. I've heard Bosch outsource the manufacturing to random factories and stick their stamp on. Used in the past and their discs rust badly. Pads are average.
Brembo - just make sure you get the UV disc coating. Pads can be a bit hit and miss....I've had issues on Honda's...
I've had this done, but only through Audi. Think you need an SKC - not many independents have access to the software.
They wipe all keys and reprogram the remaining keys. Doesn't take long. They will probably charge an hours labour though.
My old B8 had a one piece panel which covered engine and gearbox. I wouldn't change the fronts for quarters - they are a pain, you need to be lined up 100% and have no stress on the panel, plus they are less secure than a screw. The rears were quarter turns as you don't have so much wind flow...
Go to halfords, you will find plenty of replacements. It's a standard bulb.
Having said that, I would recommend upgrading to LED. Transforms your interior!
From memory (few years back now!) remove 3 torx bits from left/right wheel wells. Remove 3/4 torx bits from under car (securing the valence).
You then need to remove the two light clusters which is straight forward - there are instructions in the manual if you don't know how to do this.

Having driven quite a few courtesy cars from Audi, there is an inconsistency between cars and mpg. Even models with the same engine, same year, similar miles etc.
A lot of this is possibly down to when they were new and driving style. Driving it like a granny when new doesn't help. I've found...
I had a 2009 3.2 Avant. Excellent car - wish I never sold it!
They do rattle for a second if left overnight - if it doesn't stop rattling that's when you need to worry. Solid lumps, not much to look out for.
With 100k on the clock, check clutch. That's about it. Oh, and find a petrol station...
+1 for MTEC - their coating is really good. Had them on my A4 and no rust (with brembo pads - these were dusty though). Go solids on the rear unless you want drilled/slotted on the front at some point. I would recommend the dimpled discs over drilled as drilled discs tend to crack.
Pad material come away from the backing ?
Had a similar issue on the track car at Donnington - fortunately happened at goddards, coasted down the straight and into the gravel :tearsofjoy:
Mine both worked as well - but they still sent errors. If VCDS tells you which side is sending the error - either replace the motor or give it a good clean and see how that goes.
I had the same problem on the A6. It would reset if I cycled the ignition. Brakes seemed fine - would still hold.
Took it to Audi who fixed it under warranty - turned out to be a faulty motor on the left side. Possibly a fault on the electric side sending sporadic errors to dash for no reason...
I'm a Goodyear Asymmetric fan. Camskill have the 2 series on offer. Quiet tyres, excellent feedback in both wet and dry. I probably prefer the 2 series over the latest 3 due to the reduced rim protector on the 3.
I found the Continentals tram line - especially on the A3. The PS4s are very good...
The pop out type inc the cap (not the flap ones) are pretty reliable - I had one replaced on my old B8 but I think that was due to damage when the bumper was replaced. It's just a spring and o ring so not much can go wrong......unless you don't have the correct antifreeze mixture which can...
It has done 49/50k and on a 2014 plate. Clunking and slipping shortly after purchase, Audi reset it, few weeks later "gearbox malfunction" on dash. I'm struggling with Audi to recognize the fault. Issue is, they say it's sealed - whereas ZF say it has a service schedule!
Makes quite a...
