If you want to use the latest maps you should update the firmware first. I’d run a diagnostic scan with a VAG aware tool such as VCDS and see if any errors are deported from the nav unit.

You have an avant? Yes? I meant the same piece of glass on the drivers side. DAB antenna is on the drivers D pillar. TV would be on the C pillar if it was fitted. You posted a pic of the passenger side C pillar amp with 4 wires from the glass.
