    Flash Car Wash

Have read loads of threads on other forums, and the consensous is that it's great! No idea if you can use your own shampoo, but I don't see why not (unless it comes in cartridges) but the main reason I'm going to buy it is the filtered water. Neil, I think it would solve your problem. Although...

    Polish

Ok, I have to admit I'm not the best person at cleaning my car. I hate doing it, and only really do it to keep the paint from being damaged. Have much more fun driving the thing. I still end up cleaning it every couple of weeks though (so I could be worse!) Does anyone have any recommendations...

    Chipping, is there anywhere......

Liverpool and Victoria Just been on their website, and "Cars which have performance enhancing modifications." are listed as things they cannot insure. I take it it's different to what you (DuncS3) got when you tried them? Cheers anyways,

    Chipping, is there anywhere......

I found this out, Standard S3 (my one), next year will cost me £760 for 10 months. With a chip of over 10% power increase, this rises to £1390! £600 more! But, if the...

    car wax??

Can anyone reccomend a good polish for removing purely scratches? Came back to the car to see a scrape down the side, most of it rubs off (plastic bumper looks responsible) but has left some marks. What I use is fine for looking shiny, but doesn't seem to get rid of them very well.

    Mods + Insurance

Sounds a lot to me! As said earlier, I'm only 21 with only a years NCB on an S3 and only paying £910 for 10 months. You might even save money by cancelling your policy, paying the cancelation fee and swapping insurers. Worth investigating I think.

Yeah, with my previous car (fiesta, no laughing), elephant gave me a renewal price, then got a quote from admiral which was cheaper (by about £200!) then elephant phoned me up to ask why I hadn't renewed my policy, they couldn't match admiral, then just after I got off the phone to them admiral...

Arrrrrr, Rich you've upset me now!!!! Was looking forward to when my insurance ran out, so I could get my S3 remapped, and thought (same as you) that after reading your quote for a 300bhp A3, an S3 would'nt be too much more than i'm paying now. At the mo, paying only £910, for 2001 Y reg S3...
