    Only needs the tiniest bit of grit to get caught under the blade and it'll scratch right down the paint. Stick with a cloth, less chance of doing damage!

    You won't need to clean it first if you're applying it so soon after collecting. That's what I did, no problems.

    Yes, did two coats over 48 hours. Excellent stuff and leaves the same OEM matt finish to the leather. Not bad value either. Doing two coats on the full leather seats used about a third of the bottle (£7 per bottle).

    303 Aerospace Protectant is great for restoring and preserving rubber trims. And to be honest, they'll show water marks easily from day 1 so I doubt you've damaged anything.

    Horrendous Tar

    I've had similar tar incidents and used Tar X and Tardis, both with good results. Follow the instructions though and don't let it dwell for more than about 7 minutes.
