Use a cleaner which doesn't foam too much - otherwise it takes days to dry and can start forming mildew/growing mould. Whatever you use, use it sparingly for the same reason as above. Chemical Guys Fabric cleaner is pretty good - a couple of light sprays, scrub fairly gently with a medium brush...

If you can remove it with blu-tack, a decent shampoo should have removed it. Blu-tack will get rid of slightly stubborn insect marks etc, but it won't remove properly attached tar etc.

I like AutoGlym Extra Gloss Protection, because it's quick, easy and seems to last fairly well. It's not the most glossy around, but it's not bad. The CueBall's suggestion of a clay bar is a decent one, but I'd save it until you've got the main wash down - claying takes quite a while...

Looking at it in the proper light, you definitely get more of a wet look. Reflection is about the same, but the werkstat makes it look like there's a really thick clear coat which I like. Think I'm going to have to get a set once my EGP runs out.

It may well be a combination of the wax/sealant you use and your cleaning regime, or that you brake in a way which doesn't produce as much crap from the brakes.
