    Any detailers north east

The wife is in a Cupra Facebook group and someone just put photos of their Formentor having just been done at Pilote Detailing in Boldon. Looks good. Their website says a new car detail with ceramic coating from £600

What Detailing / Car Care Products Have You Bought / Ordered Today?

Mrs took delivery of a new Cupra Formentor last week. Gave it a coat of Waxaddict Quartz which I've had for ages as shown in photo. But bought some Soft99 Fusso Coat yesterday so think I'll strip it all off and apply that, and also do my A4. Might get a DA and polish my A4 prior to apply Fusso...

    Quantum grey suggested regime?

I've a quantum grey BE and used to quite enjoy detailing my other cars but not really paid that much attention to the scene recently. What to get back into looking after this one so looking for advice on which way to go. It's a 3 year lease car so not that bothered about getting it...

    Power Washer Recommendations

The Nilfisk just arrived today. Gave it a whirl. The patio tool is tremendous. I can't believe how easy it is to bring Indian sandstone back to looking brand new. It's as easy as vacuuming the living room

    Power Washer Recommendations

My Halfords one started leaking last week after about 6 years. Still works but water flowing from inside it. Ordered a Nilfisk E150 from cleanstore. With 3 cars, a 70sq m drive, 80sq m patio, and large greenhouse, the suggestion it will only last 50hrs will soon be put to the test.

    Demon snow foam

This is mine after it having been stood for a couple of minutes. Using about an inch of snow foam in the bottle of the lance and topped up with warm water.

    Demon snow foam

In terms of dirt shifting power I'd say it's pretty poor. It certainly loosens it though. I tried AutoRaeChem's cherry snow foam off eBay once and that was the same. Struggles to cling to the paint

    Demon snow foam

Yeah I use it too with a snow foam lance. What's undoubtedly confusing the OP is the back of the bottle (not the one displayed above) tells you to add three capfuls to a bucket of water. Makes no mention of needing a pressure washer or hose nozzle.

    Tried the Werkstat Acrylic kit

Quite impressed at how easy this kit goes on. Last weekend I gave the car a good clean and applied Prime followed by three layers of Jett. Yesterday, I snow foamed it, then washed it with the mitt then gave it another layer of Jett. Quite pleased with the results. Water just runs off it when...

    Autoglym Lifeshine valet for £29

The Mrs just showed me an offer on Groupon, for a local valeting company (Bubbles) to apply the Autoglym Lifeshine products for £29, instead of something like £180. Anyone know if this is worth checking out or not? Have just bought and applied the Werkstat Acrylic system though, probably...

    Scratch free drying

As I've only had the car a week, and it's brand new, a quick application of snow foam brought it up nice and clean. It's next wash will be with a mitt and two buckets however.

    Scratch free drying

What's the best method of drying the car after washing which produces minimal scratching? On my old cars I've always used a chamois leather, but I'm reluctant to try it on my brand new monsoon grey A3.
