Taking wheels off to clean them

That's great, thanks @45bvtc ! Can't afford the jack right now so will have to make do with the free one for now, but will grab the wrench and socket! Best wishes with your chemo mate.

Taking wheels off to clean them

Already have them, and have done the best I can with the wheels on but I want to get them off to remove the rest and then ceramic coat.

Taking wheels off to clean them

Yes I’d already planned on getting a good jack so may as well add a wrench to the shopping list!!

Taking wheels off to clean them

Yeah I probably should but will only be a one off job as they’ll be maintained properly going forwards. Still, they’re cheap enough. Is it a 17mm socket that’s needed?

Taking wheels off to clean them

This is going to sound like a really daft question, but after taking my wheels off to do a proper detail of them, are they perfectly safe having been hand tightened only, or should I get them tightened properly? Monsoon Grey

Yeah I dabbled with some detailing many years ago when I had a Mondeo ST. For the last few years motoring went right down the list of priorities as we were saving for a house etc so i've been running around in a 9 year old Focus for a few years without taking any care of it. Just bought a 66...

    Monsoon Grey

Thanks mate, definitely not brave enough yet to try that myself. I'm hoping I can keep it looking nice with regular care and attention! I know it won't ever be as great as professionally detailed or machine polished but it's already the nicest car i've ever had so I'm sure I can keep it looking...

Also do you have any recommendations for a polish that can be hand applied for minor swirls etc? Or is that unnecessary as well as the black hole?

    Monsoon Grey

I have some Collinite 915 to put on over the top of it. I'm no expert detailer but hopefully when I get it, washing, claying, black hole and then the Collinite will have it looking shiny :)

    Monsoon Grey

Thanks I've read good things about Black Hole but didn't know if it'd be suitable for Monsoon where it's quite light.

Hi Folks Any recommendations for an 'after wash' product to bring the best out of Monsoon Grey? Thanks!
