Hi all,
Hopefully i've put this post in the correct place - feel free to move it if not.
I've got a couple of alloys with some slight curb damage on the inside of the rim. The fronts of the alloys are just fine so i don't want to pay for a proper refurb.
I have sanded down the damaged areas...
Mine gets a wash every 2 weeks as well. Citrus Pre Wash first, pressure spray off then the top half with Zymol Shampoo/Maguires Wash Mitt using the 2 bucket technique. Then on the bottom half where the visits to the second clean water bucket gets visited far more regularly. Pressure spray off...
£20 for a wheel brush? Seems a lot to me. I just stick my arm in and drag a sponge around the inside of the alloy. I may start taking the alloys off once a month.
+2 here. Excellent product and as @mjcourtney says, every 2 weeks is fine. Any longer and you may need a stronger mix ratio. Valet Pro also do something called Dragon's Breath which is stronger and more expensive. People tend to only use this occasionally on the basis of the cost. I've not used...
By the way. Valet Pro do something called Dragon's Breath which is supposed to be stronger/better than Bilberry. It is more expensive though. I don't think I need it yet as my car/alloys are only 6 months old!
Just thought I'd share my experience with this stuff.
Used it on my S-Line Diamond cut alloys at the weekend and it's great stuff. Spray on to a dry alloy, leave for 5 minutes then pressure wash it off, using the brush to get the stronger areas off. You may need a microfiber which I did to get...
I've ended up getting one of these Mesto Foamers - http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/washing-and-drying/foam-pre-wash/mesto-foamer-pressure-sprayer-1-5l/prod_1359.html
And a 1ltr bottle of Valet Pro Citrus Pre Wash.
If the foamer is no good I will have to invest £45 in a foaming lance for my Stihl...
Thanks veeeight
Anyone ever tried this with a hand pump up sprayer? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VALETPRO-CITRUS-PRE-WASH-1-LITRE-ALL-PURPOSE-CLEANER-PUMP-UP-SPRAYER-/181586701691?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2a47692d7b
It's obviously not going to be as quick as a pressure washer but surely...
I understand I'd need a special lance for snow foaming? I have a standard hozelock hosepipe, what do I need to make it fit?
Not heard of a citrus pre-wash. What's involved and needed for that?
Yep, mine is disgusting too. What's the best way to get it off as I'm worried that simply wiping it off after a soak is just going to make swirl marks.
