WLTP only applies to new vehicles delivered from 1st Sep. There will likely be a retrospective reclassification of the emissions band for many of these engines in 2019, which could change the RFL. However, it doesn't explain why other vehicles of the same model and spec are getting through ok...
After 15 days in Emden the dealer or Audi UK can put a priority tag on the vehicle but it has very little influence from what I can tell. Mine had this and I expect your has too.
Mine was at status 38 for just under 6 weeks but I understand it arrived in Emden 7 days earlier than that status, so just under 7 weeks total. Buying a new car brings the kid out in all of us and the wait it tough. Much tougher when it's delayed and you can't obtain any accurate updates from...
Not good and we know the backlog story is BS. I understood you are entitled to a car after 6 weeks from build date or reaching Emden?
Scheduled to collect mine on Friday but now there is a potential delay with finance docs as the system closed Q2 and the dealer is waiting for it to open up...
Yep, for some it accurately updates over night and for others it's way out. Mine jumped from status 38 to 40 five days after the event. Now waiting to be shipped to the dealer.
Hi, they are not being straight with you. There is a backlog with certain cars due to recalls/fixes etc but there is no shipping backlog as such. When I last called CS I told the agent not to come back to me with the usual shipping backlog BS as thousands of cars are getting through Emden to...
I suspect some vehicles are caught up in recalls in Emdem, with those ordered later being resolved at the factory hence later orders arriving in the UK sooner. This is the only explanation I have for mine being late whilst other RS3's built after mine sailed right through - the issue/s were...
That was 6 weeks at Emden port. Car was ordered by the dealer in March and built beginning of May.
MY18 RS3 ordering closed the second week of May and no ETA yet when the order books will reopen for MY19.
I just heard that my RS3 has now hit the UK after almost 6 weeks in Emden. The dealer has Q5's that have been stuck there for almost 2 months due to issues. There are delays with certain cars due to QC, recalls etc. Q5's and RS3's appear to be the most affected.
Welcome, enjoy!
Only to repair to an acceptable standard. Vehicle looked fine during pickup but when I drove it home the steering wheel was left hand down by quite a way. Dealer stated it was "normal" for some new vehicles and that the alignment cannot be done until it had covered at least...
Not what you want to hear. Clearly they are holding back cars for rectification work. I was unable to get Audi CS to confirm my car was being subject to QC. How long as your's been in Emden?
